Kalutara MO issues dengue alert
Panadura, Bandaragama, Wadduwa, Kalutara, Beruwala, Agalawatte, Walallavita, Bulathsinhala and Palindanuwara high-risk areas
Health authorities have warned that the Dengue fever was spreading again in the Kalutara District after the break out of monsoon rains.
Director of Kalutara District Health Services Dr Udaya Ratnayake said Panadura, Bandaragama, Wadduwa, Kalutara, Beruwala, Agalawatte, Walallavita, Bulathsinhala and Palindanuwara Divisions had been identified as high-risk areas.
He requested residents and the business community to keep their houses and business establishments clean and tidy and free of mosquitoes.
Dr Ratnayake said a team of officials under District Administrative PHI Saman Geeganage was deployed to create public awareness on the impending danger and to take precautionary measures.
