Lisal clinches U-12 title
Lisal Goonetileke clinched the Boys’ Under-12 Singles title at the Clay court Tennis Nationals when he defeated Renuk Herath 6-0, 6-4 in the final played at the SLTA Courts in Green Path yesterday.
In the run-up to the final, Lisal overcame T. Marasinghe while Senuk had the better of Melvan Wijemanne by identical scores of two sets to nil.
However, the inclement weather has forced the organisers to postpone some of the other matches and the tournament will resume on May 29.
