Adhistana Satyakriya meditation conducted by 200 Buddhist monks
Tenth anniversary of the eradication of terrorism
An Adhisthana Satyakriya meditation conducted by 200 Buddhist monks living in forest hermitages to mark the tenth anniversary of the eradication of terrorism, was held at Ruwanweliseya Stupa in Anuradhapura on Saturday. . They invoked blessings on war heroes who sacrificed their lives and were disabled in the war.
Chief Incumbent of the International Vipassana Meditation Centre Ven. Ududumbara Kashyapa Thera presided over the two hour Adhistana Satyakriya meditation held from 5.30 p.m. with the participation of a number of servicemen and civilians.
The event was organised by the Sri Lanka Kalyana Mithra Sangamaya and Aarya Foundation. Military Chief of Staff Maj. General Shavendra Silva along with senior officials of the Tri-forces and Chairman the Aarya Foundation Charith Kiriella attended the event.
