An Ad­histhana Satyakriya med­i­ta­tion con­ducted by 200 Bud­dhist monks liv­ing in for­est her­mitages to mark the tenth an­niver­sary of the erad­i­ca­tion of ter­ror­ism, was held at Ruwan­weliseya Stupa in Anu­rad­ha­pura on Satur­day. .They in­voked bless­ings on war heroes who sac­ri­ficed their lives and were dis­abled in the war.

Chief In­cum­bent of the In­ter­na­tional Vi­pas­sana Med­i­ta­tion Cen­tre Ven. Ududum­bara Kashyapa Thera presided over the two hour Ad­his­tana Satyakriya med­i­ta­tion held from 5.30 p.m. with the par­tic­i­pa­tion of a num­ber of ser­vice­men and civil­ians.

The event was or­gan­ised by the Sri Lanka Kalyana Mithra Sanga­maya and Aarya Foun­da­tion. Mil­i­tary Chief of Staff Maj. Gen­eral Shaven­dra Silva along with se­nior of­fi­cials of the Tri-forces and Chair­man the Aarya Foun­da­tion Charith Kiriella at­tended the event.
