Cannabis plants found in domestic compound of army soldier

An army soldier who was having a dozen cannabis plants in his domestic compound was taken into custody by the Beruwala Police yesterday.

Beruwala Police receiving information from its intelligence sources raided the soldier’s house in Magalkanda area and found the illicit plants in his garden.

The police suspect whether the landlord was having the plants for his own consumption rather than for commercial purposes.

He will be produced before the Kalutara Magistrate’s Courts.
