The Annual Anniversar­y Golf Tournament Of Shangri-la’s Hambantota

Shangri-la’s Hambantota Golf Resort & Spa celebrates three years of golfing and good times with its Annual Anniversar­y Golf

Tournament to be held on 28 and 29 June 2019. This event is much looked forward to amongst the discerning golf members of the resort.

The format of the golf tournament will be Stableford over 18 holes and played under the Rules of R&A and USGA, with gross and nett prizes. Members and guests can also enjoy a barbecue dinner in the breezy outdoors on 28 June, and the Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner on 29 June. Prizes include airline tickets from Sri Lankan Airlines and

Cinnamon Air, weekend stays at other Shangri-la hotels and resorts, indulgence packages from Spa Ceylon and more.

Spread across a vast coconut palm plantation, the par-70, 18 hole golf course offers spectacula­r views of the Indian Ocean, with distinctiv­e challenges for both beginners and seasoned players.

The resort offers a wide array of services and facilities for golfers to enjoy their experience in these idyllic settings. Inspired by Sri Lanka’s colonial heritage, Ulpatha, the Golf Club

House overlooks the 18th hole and is the perfect place to unwind after a game of golf, with a fine selection of beverages and snacks. For players’ convenienc­e, the Proshop offers a wide range of products on sale including a selection of premium golf equipment, caps, polos, shoes and sun glasses.
