The entire staff of the Kurunegala Hospital had decided to refuse to give evidence before the committee appointed by health minister Rajitha Senaratne to probe the allegations against Dr Shihabdeen Mohamed Safi.

The decision had been conveyed in writing to the Hospital director by the organization called “Organization to protect Kurunegala Hospital”.

Spokesman for the Organization Dr Indika Ratnayake said they had no faith on the committee appointed by health minister Rajitha Senaratne.

He said however, they were ready to give evidence before a committee appointed by the President.
