The fallen war heroes were commemorated at an impressive ceremony held at the Diyawanna esplanade the other day.

While the ceremony was underway, some political and white-collar highups present at the event as guests found themselves sharing in low confidential tones a question that intrigued them all.

It was the credentials of a certain character present on the occasion as a guest representing the provincial administration that puzzled these highups.

“How come this person has been nominated to come here as a guest?”was the question to which each of them was seeking an answer.

Several political high-ups had openly expressed their disapproval of the presence of the strange character as a guest on the occasion, they say.
