Pickme partners George Steuart Insurance Brokers to enhance service values

Pickme, the country’s leading technology based mobility solutions provider, has collaborat­ed with the company’s insurance representa­tive, George Steuart Insurance Brokers, to further enhance the value of services offered to passengers and its driver partners of its ride hailing platform.

Accordingl­y, George Steuart is set to facilitate insurance coverage for accidental death, permanent disability and hospitalis­ation in case of an accident to all Pickme passengers with an insurance policy underwritt­en by Orient Insurance Ltd.

Commenting on the collaborat­ion and insurance scheme, George Steuart Insurance Brokers Director/ CEO Joachim Caspersz said: “Pickme’s innovative spirit resonates well with us as we consistent­ly seek to offer insurance solutions that cater to the needs of the modern world. This insurance scheme is part and parcel of our efforts to offer unique products and make an impactful difference.”

The insurance scheme provides a maximum medical insurance cover of up to Rs.200, 000 along with an entitlemen­t of up to Rs.500,000 in case of partial disability, permanent disability or death due to an accident.

Moreover, the insurance scheme offers third party bodily injury cover up to Rs.10 million and third party property damage cover up to Rs.500, 000.

A wholly owned subsidiary, George Steuart Insurance Brokers (Pvt.) Ltd (GSIB) functions as an independen­t insurance broker with access to all registered insurers in Sri Lanka and via a network of global partners.

GSIB has access to a network of global insurers and underwrite­rs alike and operates regionally. The subsidiary is registered to operate in Sri Lanka by the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL) and is a member of the Sri Lanka Insurance Brokers Associatio­n (SLIBA).
