FIN. MIN. MEDIA DIRECTOR, NABBED WITH AMMO, RELEASED

Finance Ministry Director of Information Mohamed Ali Hassan who was arrested with 93 rounds of bore-12 ammunition at his house at Malwatte in Malwana yesterday morning was released after questioned by the police, the Police said.

They said he was arrested during a cordon and search operation carried out by the Army and Police in the Biyagama area. Police said the arrested was handed over to the Biyagama police for further investigation. He was to be produced in the court.
