4 clip introduces new toy Forky

Disney Pixar has unveiled a new clip for Toy Story 4, which introduces another new toy character, Forky, voiced by Tony Hale. The studio has also announced new events for fans who plan on seeing this animated sequel during Thursday sneak preview screenings on June 20.

Advanced tickets for Toy Story 4 went on sale starting today at Fandango, where fans can find participating theatres for these opening day fan events. The clip (courtesy of Pixar Youtube) opens with Bonnie (voiced by Madeline Mcgraw) returning from kindergarten, throwing her backpack in her room and stating, ‘Hi toys, bye toys,’ before quickly exiting.

Once she’s gone, her backpack is unzipped by Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks), who is yelled at by the other toys for going to kindergarten with Bonnie.

But Woody revealed that Bonnie had a ‘great day in class,’ and that all of the toys are, ‘going on a road trip,’ which causes all of the toys to cheer.

Woody starts walking back to the backpack, revealing that ‘something really weird happened, Bonnie made a friend in class.’ All of the toys assume Woody means she became friends with another student, but Woody meant that she literally made a friend, out of a spork, popsicle stick and a pipe cleaner, who she called Forky. Woody used a very gentle tone to try and coax the shy Forky out of the backpack, which causes the rest of the shocked toys to take a few steps back. ‘Everyone, I want you to meet Forky,’ Woody says, which causes all of the toys to react in different ways.

The clip ends with the T-rex dinosaur toy Rex (voiced by Wallace Shawn), who marvels at, ‘how long his arms are.’ As for the Toy Story 4 fan events, fans who see the movie during participating Thursday sneak peek screenings will each receive a set of Toy Story 4 collectible cards.
