Three seriously injured when speeding vehicle veers off road

A motorcar had veered off the road and crashed into a wayside tree at Omanthai along the Jaffna-kandy A9 highway, causing serious injuries to three passengers.

The driver had lost control of the vehicle due to excessive speed. The vehicle had been extensively damaged

The injured, in critical condition, were admitted to the Vavuniya General Hospital. Investigations revealed that the driver had lost control of the vehicle due to excessive speed. The vehicle had been extensively damaged.

Omanthai Police are conducting further investigations.
