Sublime virtues

-

In the mighty Indian Ocean

In this wonderful little isle

We - Sri Lankans, are proud of, the meaningful ‘National Flag’

The four ‘Bo’ leaves that stand in the four corners Metta, Muditha, Karuna, Upekkha are the treasures of valuable virtues that lead us to a life sublime. Metta for loving kindness; benevolence Karuna for compassion; care and concern Muditha for empathetic joy

Upekkha for equanimity; a balanced state of mind.

That is what should be fulfilled by one and all, who are skilled in goodness must - live in peace, harmony and brotherhood!

So, let’s arise! Awake!

Striving to live out the sublime virtues caring and loving, with kindness; living out in equality and full consciousness as one united nation!

The more we are aware

The more humane we will be irrespective of caste, creed and race. Let’s bow down to values and virtues to let our nation glow!
