New Committee appointed for Guinness World Records

Minister Naveen Dissanayake has formed a new committee named the National Advisory Committee for Guinness World Records in Sri Lanka.

There are five members in the committee including Saman Amarasinghe, Chairman of the National Sports Museum.

The other members are:

Saman Kumara Gunewardena. (Director of Sports, University of Kelaniya), Sajith Jayalal (Director Institute of National Sports Science), Dr. Lal Ekanayake (Medical Unit Ministry of Sports) and Parakrama Basnayake (President Sri Lanka Carom Federation).

In future those who want to contest for Guinness World Records will have to seek the permission of this committee. (SP)
