Oppo launches Shot Maker campaign for ICC Cricket...
Oppo, a global partner of the International Cricket Council (ICC), announced its official ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 campaign featuring England vicecaptain Jos Buttler.
The ‘Shot Maker’ campaign was unveiled at a global marketing event where Oppo premiered its new brand video starring the England batsman.
The Shot Maker creative aims to communicate the Oppo spirit by celebrating the expression, innovation and individuality of cricket fans, on and off the pitch, across the world.
The Shot Maker campaign reveal came as Oppo announced the launch of its new Reno series in the UK market. This includes the Reno 5G, launched with EE.
The Shot Maker campaign, in conjunction with the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019, aims to continue and build upon Oppo’s previous collaborations in sports marketing to further establish its footprint as a global brand.
Oppo International Business Marketing Director Derek Sun: “Shot Maker is the perfect expression of Oppo’s creativity and the spirit of cricket. The ICC Cricket World Cup is one of the most watched sporting events in the world, and the adventurous and fearless spirit of the tournament’s star players is highly compatible with Oppo’s technological and aesthetic pursuits. On the cricket field, the players that capture the imagination and excite the fans are the Shot Makers. Jos Buttler brings all those values to life in the way he plays the game so, as the ultimate Shot Maker, we’re delighted to partner with him on this campaign. Off the pitch, we hope global consumers are inspired, through their passion for cricket, to participate in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 with Oppo. The Reno 10x Zoom smartphone is the perfect way to capture the very best moments at the ICC Cricket World Cup, enabling every consumer to become a Shot Maker.”
Jos Buttler added: “I have always tried to play cricket with freedom and creativity. A ‘Shot Maker’ mentality is about trying new things, daring to innovate and having fun. The game of cricket has evolved so much because players have ignored convention and expressed themselves. The same is true in all walks of life. Hopefully we can encourage everyone to find their inner Shot Maker.”
Oppo will publish daily highlights of ICC matches as shot by the Reno series to cricket fans around the world, providing users with an opportunity to showcase their creativity.
Oppo has worked with London artist Lucy Vigrass to celebrate the ICC Cricket World Cup through British classic art.
Oppo has long regarded the UK as a core strategic market and a top talent base. Since entering the UK market, Oppo has released several premium smartphones, including the Find X and RX17 Pro. Now, Oppo is launching both the Reno 10x Zoom and the Reno 5G, in collaboration with the UK’S leading carrier EE.
Both the Reno 10x Zoom and Reno 5G are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 platform and Oppo’s 10x hybrid zoom technology to provide users with an extraordinary photography experience. Supported by EE’S commercial 5G network, the Reno 5G will bring to consumers an unprecedented experience in cloud games, AR, and VR.
Oppo UK Managing Director Neil You said: “We began 5G research very early, and through unremitting innovation successfully developed the Reno 5G, our company’s first 5G smartphone. We are excited to offer the Reno 5G to users in the UK through EE.”
