UPROAR AGAINST DUMINDA AT DALADA MALIGAWA

RISHAD BATHIUDEEN AND THE TWO GOVERNORS SHOULD RESIGN AND HE HAS EVEN EXPRESSED ABOUT HIS VIEW TO THE PRESIDENT

A chaotic situation arose with the arrival of the SLFP General Secretary Duminda Dissanayak­a at the Maha Maluva of Sri Dalada Maligawa to see Parliament­arian Ven.athuraliye Rathana Thera now on a hunger fast demanding the removal of Minister Rishad Bathiudeen and Provincial Governors Azath Salley and M L M A Hizbullah from their post.

With the uproar of the people opposing his arrival, the police and the general public had to take a great effort to contain the situation.

However, speaking to the media the parliament­arian said that Rishad Bathiudeen and the two governors should resign and he has even expressed his view to the President.

Under heavy police security Minister Dissanayak­e left the Dalada Maligawa.
