It is not unusual to question intelligence heads : UNP
The UNP said in a statement that National Intelligence Unit’s head Kapila Hendawitharana was made to attend a press conference in 2010
Those who are opposed to the summoning of the heads of the intelligence agencies by the Parliamentary select committee (PSC) appointed to look into the Easter Sunday attacks are unaware that an intelligence unit head was made to address a press conference during the previous regime, United National Party (UNP) said yesterday.
The UNP said in a statement that National Intelligence Unit’s head Kapila Hendawitharana was made to attend a press conference in 2010. The party said Mr. Hendawitharana was made to reveal details on the arrest of LTTE leader Kumaran Pathmanthan alias KP. Also the UNP said intelligence heads in United States are summoned before the Senate.
