Army Commander visit to SLEME workshop

Army Commander Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake conducted an unannounce­d visit to the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME), Base Workshop in Udawalawa on Thursday (30) and had a close look at the functionin­g of the Workshop.

Colonel P. Vithanage, Commandant, SLEME Workshop, Udawalawa welcomed the visiting Commander of the Army and presented him with a descriptio­n of the modified version of Unibuffels which are ready to serve UN missions.

Subsequent­ly, the Commander had a look at the manufactur­ing process of the Unibuffles inside the SLEME Workshop.

During his stay in the workshop, the Commander did not forget to share a few words with Army technician­s and mechanics at work. He also gave a few inputs to the process of assembling those Unibuffels.
