Army Com­man­der visit to SLEME work­shop

Army Com­man­der Lieu­tenant Gen­eral Ma­hesh Se­nanayake con­ducted an unan­nounced visit to the Sri Lanka Elec­tri­cal and Me­chan­i­cal En­gi­neers (SLEME), Base Work­shop in Udawalawa on Thurs­day (30) and had a close look at the func­tion­ing of the Work­shop.

Colonel P. Vithanage, Com­man­dant, SLEME Work­shop, Udawalawa wel­comed the vis­it­ing Com­man­der of the Army and pre­sented him with a de­scrip­tion of the mod­i­fied ver­sion of Unibuf­fels which are ready to serve UN mis­sions.

Sub­se­quently, the Com­man­der had a look at the man­u­fac­tur­ing process of the Unibuf­fles in­side the SLEME Work­shop.

Dur­ing his stay in the work­shop, the Com­man­der did not for­get to share a few words with Army tech­ni­cians and me­chan­ics at work. He also gave a few in­puts to the process of as­sem­bling those Unibuf­fels.
