POLICE COMMITTEE TO ENTERTAIN WRITTEN COMPLAINTS

A three-member committee comprising an SSP and two SPS has been appointed to receive complaints against former Western Province Governor Azath Salley, former Eastern Province Governor M.L.A.M. Hizbullah and former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said yesterday.

He said the committee which is located at Police Headquarters would entertain only written complaints from June 4 to June 12 between 8.00 am and 4.00 p.m.

The two governors and the minister resigned from their posts on Monday.
