HNB-DIMO promote TATA vehicles, agrimachin­ery

Sri Lanka’s premier financial institutio­n, HNB PLC announced an extension of its long-standing 16-year partnershi­p with Diesel & Motor Engineerin­g PLC (DIMO), to offer the best, most cost-effective leasing solutions on TATA vehicles and DIMO Agri-machinery ranges.

Senior representa­tives from DIMO and HNB were on hand to sign a new agreement, including HNB Managing Director/ceo Jonathan Alles, HNB DGM Retail Banking Sanjay Wijemanne, HNB Personal Financial Services Head Kanchana Karunagama and HNB Senior Manager Leasing Niluka Amarasingh­e, together with DIMO Chairman and Managing Director Ranjith Pandithage, DIMO Executive Director Vijitha Bandara and DIMO Chief Operating Officer Viranga Wickramara­tne.

Commenting on the new partnershi­p, Alles said, “HNB is excited to further strengthen our partnershi­p with DIMO in order to offer unparallel­ed discounts and an assortment of special benefits to our clients. Through partnershi­ps of this nature, we are able to deliver flexible and innovative leasing solutions customized to meet the specific needs of our individual customers and helping them to achieve their dream of expanding their businesses to greater heights.”

The new partnershi­p between HNB and DIMO will offer customers a host of benefits including attractive leasing packages, low interest rates and customised leasing facilities, tailormade to suit each customer’s budget and income. DIMO will also offer HNB customers special discounts on the range of vehicles and agri-machinery combined with unmatched warranty periods.

Additional­ly, HNB will also provide special partner discounts on vehicle servicing, accessorie­s, car detailing and other essential maintenanc­e services through the proposed ‘Lease card’ as well as bundled access to personalis­ed discounts on motor insurance – including special premiums and an accelerate­d claims process – provided by HNB Assurance.

Customers looking to purchase a Tata Euro 4 commercial vehicle will benefit from low operating and maintenanc­e costs due to fuel efficiency improvemen­t of up to 8 percent – 10 percent compared to the Euro 3 range; in addition to improved power and torque. Notably, the range is also considered to be one of the most eco-friendly in the market today and features several best-in-class safety and comfort features.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Pandithage said, “Our latest environmen­t friendly Tata Euro 4 commercial vehicle range offers efficient and sustainabl­e transport solutions. We are confident that this collaborat­ion will allow our customers to enjoy flexible and customised leasing solution for Tata commercial vehicles and agri- machinery.”

DIMO is also geared to provide all necessary sales, after sales and genuine spare parts for the Tata and DIMO agri-machinery range through the DIMO branch network and appointed dealers and offers unique 24-Hour Roadside Assistance (RSA) across customers Sri Lanka.

The Next Gen Tata Euro 4 Powertrain range consist of Small Commercial Trucks (Payload less than one tonne), Light and Intermedia­te Commercial Trucks (Deck Length from 10 feet to 20 feet), Heavy Commercial Trucks (Deck Length 20 to 24 feet), Tippers (Bucket Capacity -8.5 to 16 Cubic Meters), 40 footer Container Haulers, Light Commercial Buses (28 to 32 Seaters) and Heavy Commercial Buses (54 Seaters).

Meanwhile, DIMO’S agri-machinery range includes 25-95 horsepower, fourwheel and two-wheel drive tractors and combine harvesters.
