NCM against Govt. to be taken on July 8

The party lead­ers who met in par­lia­ment to­day have de­cided to take up the No-con­fi­dence Mo­tion (NCM) against the gov­ern­ment on July 9 and 10 in par­lia­ment, Leader of the House, Lak­sh­man Kiriella said on Tues­day.

Mr. Kiriella told Daily Mir­ror that the gov­ern­ment pro­posed to take up the mo­tion to de­bate on June 18 and 19 but the JVP wanted it taken up dur­ing the first week in July.

The NCM was sub­mit­ted by the Janatha Vimuk­thi Per­a­muna (JVP) last month.
