Eight grammes of ICE seized in raid, 3 arrested

A stock of 8 grammes of the illegal intoxicant called ICE was seized and three suspects using them were arrested by the Kalpitiya Police during a raid on a house at Kandakuliya in Kalpitiya.

The suspects were between 26 and 35 years of age and two of them were Muslims and the other a Sinhalese

OIC Kalpitiya Police Laxman Ranwala Arachchi said it was for the first time that a stock of this illegal intoxicant had been found in the area. Under interrogation the suspects told police that they had bought the intoxicant in the Puttalam area.

The suspects were between 26 and 35 years of age and two of them were Muslims and the other a Sinhalese.

OIC Kalpitiya Police Laxman Ranwala Arachchi, PCS 69749 Priyashantha, 69770 Pushpakumara, 90470 Attanayake, 91031 Udara and 89977 Molagoda had carried out the raid.
