17 KILLED IN DUBAI BUS CRASH

7 JUNE,(DAILY MAIL)7 JUNE 2019Sevent­een people have been killed after a bus from Oman crashed in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai police have said.the death toll was announced in tweets published early on Friday.

Police say the bus, carrying 31 tourists of different nationalit­ies, had crashed into a sign on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. They did not elaborate on what caused the bus driver to hit the sign, but warned that ‘sometimes a minor error or negligence’ can be fatal.

The force said the dead included different nationalit­ies.at least three others were injured in the crash. On Twitter, Dubai Police said the driver, in his fifties, was being treated for moderate injuries at Rashid Hospital. General Directorat­e of Dubai Police extended his condolence­s to the families of all those who died in a statement on Twitter.

While officials haven’t confirmed the cause of the crash, local media reported the driver had entered a road not designated for buses towards Al Rashidiya metro station.
