Nabbed for snatching Gold chain

A man who had snatched the gold chain of a teenage girl riding on a motorcycle ridden by her mother in Negombo Town was nabbed by the police on Saturday.

The suspect a resident of Kattuwa area was apprehended following a complaint lodged by the girl’s mother with the Negombo Police.

He had snatched the gold chain worth Rs.45,000 worn by the 12-year-old girl who was seated on the pillion of her mother’s motorcycle and fled the scene.

The suspect was later found to be wanted for stealing a gold bangle from a jewellery shop in Negombo Town.
