Kaushi & Farzan

- BY: RUQAIYAH SHABEEN

THE ROMANCE Q YOUR INITIAL MEET. HOW DID IT HAPPEN?

I went for a wedding dance choreography with my master and

Farzi was there as well as he was one of the best-men for the dance we were choreographing. That was the first time we saw each other.

Q WHO MADE THE FIRST MOVE? HOW?

Farzi made the first move. As soon as I reached home after the rehearsal, I got a Facebook request and message. That's when we started communicating.

Q WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION ABOUT YOUR SPOUSE?

His style. I liked the way he expressed himself.

Q IN WHAT WAYS ARE YOU MOST ALIKE?

We both love babies and dogs a lot. We could babysit all day.

Q WHAT’S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE DATE? WHY?

10.02.2018

The day he proposed to me.

Q THREE THINGS YOU LOVE AND HATE ABOUT YOUR PARTNER.

Love – he is a hard working person I love that about him, his passion and the way he takes care of me.

THE PROPOSAL Q HOW DID THE PROPOSAL HAPPEN?

OMG I can't put that moment into words! I never expected that kind of a thing. We were on a trip to India and our planned destinations were Chennai & Shimla but he badly wanted to visit the Taj Mahal. Then we took the train from Chennai to Agra. It was a long journey but we enjoyed every bit of it. We reached Agra around 5.30am and then we went to see the Taj Mahal.

As soon as we entered the Taj Mahal, a few photographers came running towards us and I wanted to hire one of them as we had no friends with us and wouldn't have been able to take any pictures together. So we went in with the photographer and came to a point where you could see the whole building. He asked us to sit facing each other's back to take a picture, I felt Farzi move so I turned, and there he was on one knee holding a ring towards me.

Q IF THE PROPOSAL WAS A SURPRISE, ON A SCALE OF 10 HOW WELL DID IT GO?

It's 10 out of 10. Because it was one of the best moments I had. He had planned it perfectly. Surprising me is kind of hard, as I get to know everything but this! I had no idea what he was up to. It was just another day of travel for me.

Q WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO AS MR. AND MRS.?

To have a baby soon and live a life full of adventures and memories. Also to see all the waterfalls in the world.

THE WEDDING Q MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING?

The moment my dad handed me over to Farzi at our nikah ceremony.

Q IF YOU COULD DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING DAY USING ONE WORD, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Different.

Q WHAT’S BEEN THE MOST FUN DETAIL OF YOUR WEDDING TO PLAN?

Planning the surprise dance for him.

Q WHAT’S BEEN THE MOST DIFFICULT DETAIL OF YOUR WEDDING TO AGREE UPON?

The venue. It wasn't with Farzi but with parents.

LIFE AFTER Q WHERE DID YOU GO FOR YOUR HONEYMOON?

We both are nature lovers so we went to our favourite place Aberdeen falls as well as Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Haputale and Mirissa. .

Q WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF, “AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER”?

To be there for each other at every moment of our lives.

Q WHAT HAS SURPRISED YOU THE MOST DURING THE FIRST FEW WEEKS/MONTHS OF BEING MARRIED?

There's nothing special we are the same before and after the wedding

Q WHO’S GOOD AT FORGETTING AND BETTER AT FORGIVING?

I forget soon and Farzi is better at forgiving.
