CA Sri Lanka to felicitate new Inland Revenue Commissioner General

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) will felicitate the newly appointed Commissioner General of Inland Revenue Nadun Guruge at a special ceremony this week.

The customary felicitation jointly organized with the institute’s Faculty of Taxation will be held on June 14th and will be attended by Chartered Accountants including corporate leaders, as well as tax professionals and senior officers of Inland Revenue.

Guruge assumed duties as the 33rd Commissioner General of Inland Revenue in April this year. He joined the department in August 1984, where he enjoyed a career advancement including his most recent appointment at Inland Revenue.

The felicitation of a new Inland Revenue Commissioner General is a customary practice of CA Sri Lanka in its capacity as the national accounting body, as it works closely with the Inland Revenue, in its efforts to strengthen and enhance the taxation structure of the country.

Guruge is a member of the Association of Public Finance Accountants of Sri Lanka (APFASL), which is the public sector wing of CA Sri Lanka.
