HOW DO PLANTS DEFEND THEMSELVES?

Plants have a very effective defense system against invading insects (or humans). They produce a protein called lection, which allows them to wage “Chemical Warfare” agains their insect predators. When an insect gets sick from eating a specific plant, it learns to avoid eating that plant.
