Poson Bhakthi Gee at Independence Sq. June 17

The Poson Devotional Songs (Bhakthi Gee) Competition and the Show will be held on Monday, June 17th, 2019 at 5.00 p.m. at the Independence Square,

Colombo 07, to mark the Poson Poya. The event is organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs on the direction of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs. Nearly 650 competitors will participate in this competition representing 27 institutions under the purview of the Ministry.

Plans are underway to give cash prizes of Rs. 100,000, Rs.75000 and Rs. 50,000 respectively to the first, second and the third place winning groups in this competition. Merit prizes of Rs. 25000 each will also be given to 10 groups.

The Poson Hewisi Pooja, organized for the 31st time by the Department of Cultural Affairs on the Direction of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs, will be held on Sunday, June 16th 2019 whole night at Ruwanweli Maha Seya.
