National Sports Festival beach events in end June

The Beach Volleyball (Men and Women) and Beach Kabaddi (Men and Women) competitions of the 45th National Sports Festival Tournament will take place on June 28, 29 and 30 at the Negombo Beach. The competitions are conducted by the Ministry of Sports and the Department of Sports Development. Teams from the Inter-province level will take part.

Five other sports competitions have been organised in Colombo on July 6 and 7 and also in the following weekend July 12, 13 and 14.

Table Tennis, Rugby, Swimming, Gymnastics and Hockey have been organised on July 6 and 7 along with Table Tennis, Rugby and Swimming. Gymnastics and Hockey will be on July 12,13 and 14. The National Sports Festival was scheduled to be held in May but had to be called off due to the unrest in the country.
