Ampara and Batticaloa qualify for Youth Games Kabaddi Finals

Matheena Youth Club of Ampara District and the Combined team of Batticaloa District have qualified for the 31st National Youth Games Kabaddi men’s final.

The tournament took place at the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) grounds, Maharagama where 25 district teams qualified.

In the semi-finals Ampara Matheena beat Polonnaruwa 36-17 and Batticaloa Combined beat Anuradhapura Combined 34-26 to qualify for the finals.

The final will take place in September at the Sugathadasa Stadium. Third place qualifiers are Urekha Youth Club of Polonnaruwa District and the Combined District team of Anuradhapura.
