Kuwait Airways Platinum partner for French Spring Festival 2019

Kuwait Airways, the national airline of Kuwait and an airline whose impressive and colourful history in Sri Lanka spans over four decades, is now set to bring a taste of Parisian culture to Sri Lanka.

The airline recently signed an agreement with the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka as Airline partner for French Spring Festival 2019.

The French Spring Festival, a long running event organised jointly by the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Alliance Française de Kotte, has become one of the country’s most well-known and recognised events and one of the most anticipate­d foreign cultural events in Sri Lanka, attracting over 3500 visitors over its one-month duration.

The event this year, under the theme of ‘bridges between France and Sri Lanka’ is scheduled to commence today with the opening night at the Residence of France will feature a one of a kind piano concert by famous pianist Shani Diluka, a French classical pianist from Sri-lankan parents. Kuwait Airways Sri Lanka and the Maldives Country Manager Sudesh Rupasinghe said of the partnershi­p, “Kuwait Airways is very keen on fostering cultural growth and building cross cultural bridges and sees this as a prime opportunit­y to enhance the relationsh­ip Kuwait Airways has with both France and Sri Lanka.”
