Rani Sandalwood launches three new exciting soap variants

-

For nearly eight decades, Rani Sandalwood soap has remained at the pinnacle of beauty care in Sri Lanka, earning a sterling reputation for its numerous benefits, unparalleled quality and consistent value.

Rani Sandalwood soap has the distinction of being the first Sri Lankan beauty soap to emerge in the local market. Launched by Swadeshi in 1941, the soap quickly captured the hearts of its target market. Impressively, even today, despite fierce competition within the segment, Rani Sandalwood soap remains the country’s #1 Sandalwood-based beauty soap.

The myriad benefits sandalwood offers in terms of both beauty and well-being, are historically and medically documented and today, sandalwood is one of the most soughtafter ingredients in both the toiletries and perfume industries. With a wealth of knowledge and experience to tap into, Swadeshi has bent its expertise to the creation of three exciting new additions to the Rani Sandalwood line.

Rani Sandalwood Soap with Coconut Cream and Vanilla, Rani Sandalwood with Rose Water and Saffron and Rani Sandalwood with Honey, Venivel and Turmeric, are now widely available across the island.

Describing these variants a company spokesperson said, “Offering our customers the best possible products made with the most trusted and efficacious ingredients, has always been our priority. Apart from catering to the desires of a new generation of consumers, we also wanted the new variants to offer the same quality and consistency.

Coconut milk is packed with vitamins and vanilla has excellent cleansing and antibacterial properties. Rose is an antioxidant, antibacterial and antimicrobial agent and saffron is famous for improving skin texture and treating pigmentation, dark circles, pimples and more.

Honey protects your skin from cell damage due to free radicals while a staple of Ayurveda – Venivel, has the capability to clear clogged pores and remove harmful toxins and turmeric is a powerful healer, helping eliminate the signs of aging.”

Discussing the factors that have contributed to the success of the brand, Chairperson A. M. Wijewardene explained, “A large slice of the credit for the brands’ success must go to the company’s emphasis on quality. Our state-ofthe-art facilities and modern research and development and manufacturing methodologies, allow us to constantly innovate and bring new beauty and personal care products to the market. Our technology, laboratories and processes have been ISO 9001 – 2015 certified by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI). We have always invested strongly in R&D and it is our efforts in this area that have lead to the creation of these new variants. We have tested consumer receptivity to these new products and we are delighted by how eagerly they were received.”

The brand’s presence goes beyond Sri Lanka’s shores, with a widespread appeal in several key international markets. Being cruelty free and 100 percent vegetarian, the brand is seen as ideal for those who wish to make the natural and ethical choice.

Swadeshi Industrial Works PLC, is the pioneer and market leader in the herbal personal care category in Sri Lanka. Incorporate in 1941, the company’s range of worldclass brands include Khomba Herbal, Khomba Baby, Rani Sandalwood, Apsara, Perlwite, Lak Bar, Lady, Black Eagle (perfume and after shave), the Swadeshi shower gel range and the unique ‘Little Princess’ range for children.
