LCB celebrates first anniversar­y

LCB Finance Ltd celebrated its first anniversar­y on June 25th at the head office premises in Kohuwala where the corporate branch is also located.

The celebratio­ns commenced in the morning with the offering of ‘Heel Dhana’ to Mahasanga and chanting of Seth Pirith at the aforesaid premises, with the participat­ion of their valued customers and the Board of Directors who were invited to be presented and graced the occasion.

CEO / Executive Director Leelananda states that the company’s ambitious Journey towards success commenced in the Southern province Galle Branch in the year 2016 having registered themselves as“lanka Credit and Business Ltd”. With its steady growth they were able to acquire the business of ‘City Finance Corporatio­n Ltd’ in 2018 and change its name to Lanka Credit & Business Finance Ltd.during the same year. The aforesaid activities were conducted under the guidance and approval of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka to whom they express their sincere thanks, when they celebrate this mile stone in their brief history.

They have increased their Galle centered branch network to reach seven branches covering Kohuwala, Rathgama, Karandeniy­a, Mirissa, Karapitiya, and Pelawathth­a and parallel to this growth they have provided employment opportunit­ies to 106 individual­s and we will continue to provide more opportunit­ies as they expand their business activities. As at 31st March 2019, the company has reached an asset base of Rs. 2,675 million, a share capital of Rs. 3,091 million and recorded a Pre Tax profit amounting to Rs. 274 million.

They are now arranging to have their shares listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange, enhance their technology capabiliti­es and serve the existing and prospectiv­e customers through an increased network of branches backed by their highly profession­al, skilled, experience­d team “The LCB Finance Employees” under the guidance of their board of directors.
