The Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) in collaboration with Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) will be organising a free workshop with the view of preparing enterprises for the upcoming Sri Lanka Corporate Health and Productivity Awards 2019.
Organised for the second consecutive year, the workshop on health and productivity management for employee health targets, HR managers and administration managers of companies who are concerned and focus on employee health and management.
The workshop will be held on July 30, 2019, at the Light House Auditorium and Lawns, 24 Horton Place, Colombo 07, commencing from 4:00p.m. to 5:30p.m..
Dr. Yoshiaki Ichikawa, visiting professor of Tama University, Japan will conduct the workshop emphasising the need to initiate strategies towards health and productivity improvement in enterprises.
This year’s Sri Lanka Corporate Health and Productivity Awards ceremony will be held in 2020 in line with the Health and Productivity stock selection programme held in Japan by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE).
Companies categorised under extra-large, large, medium and small based on the number of employees will be eligible to apply and companies with a maximum emphasis on health and productivity programmes for employee health will be chosen and promoted as an attractive investment option for investors who prioritise the improvement of corporate values.
“Our emphasis is to build a workforce with maximum performance and productivity and thereby contribute to the economic development of the country and it is a great opportunity to collaborate with JETRO to support local enterprises to set high standards,” noted COYLE Chairman Aminda Rodrigo.
“Corporate health programmes have a proven record of enhancing employee performance and productivity which lead to create a healthier, positive minded workforce which augur well for any company’s success. Hence, the workshop will be instrumental in fostering higher profits, minimising of costs and rendering a good customer service. Moreover, corporate health programmes are vastly expanding throughout the world and are essential to improve cooperate values and employee satisfaction,” he added.

The project aims to promote a drastic change in the field of corporate health and management, acting as a force to motivate enterprises to uplift corporate values and bring enterprises engaging in health and productivity management to the limelight.
