Lk2mv.com launched to promote Sri Lankan manufactur­ers

Ocean Trade and Logistics (Pvt.) Ltd, one of the leading logistics companies in the island, has turned over a new leaf in the export market by launching a website (www. lk2mv.com) for direct exports from Sri Lanka.

The website enables local manufactur­ers to send their products to the doorsteps of their foreign customers. All what the local manufactur­ers need to do is to advertise their products on lk2mv. com and once a foreign customer offers to purchase the goods, Ocean Trade and Logistics will take the responsibi­lity of transporti­ng and all other intermedia­te requiremen­ts, which will be a great support to manufactur­ers in Sri Lanka.

The launching of the new website was held at Food and Beverage Exhibition, Male, Maldives with the participat­ion of Ali Solih, Minister of State for Communicat­ion, Science and Technology as chief guest and Hussain Zamir Duputy Economic Minister, Hassan Sha - Managing Director, Maldives Transport and Contractin­g Company, Abdul Gafoor - Member or Parliament, Mohommed Waheed - Ocean logistic Maldives, Mohommed Nabeel - Chairman, TTS Maldives, invitees of FHAM Exhibition and a delegation of Sri Lanka - Maldives Business Council.

The exhibition was held on July 14 to 16, 2019. www.lk2mv.com website facilitate­s the sale of boats, boat accessorie­s, constructi­on machinerie­s and raw materials, apparels, fertiliser­s, vegetables, fruits, hotel supplies, packaging materials, promotiona­l materials, motor spare parts, water seal accessorie­s, and kids’ instrument­s. The founder of the website, Sudesh Mendis MD, Ocean Trade and Logistics described this as a giant step that puts Sri Lankan exports in a new track.
