JVP will announce Prez candidate on 18th

The JVP will announce its candidate for the forthcoming Presidential Election on the 18th of this month, party sources said.

A spokesman of the JVP said that they will disclose this at a rally organised at the Galle Face Green. He said that the rally consisting of all segments including farmers organizations, trade unions, organisations of democratic parties, progressive and leftist parties in what would be known as National Political Force. The presidential candidate will be announced by our National Political Force, the spokesman further said.
