Western and Southern win Gold Medals at NSF

Western and Southern Province won Gold Medals (men and women) at the 45th National Sports Festival (NSF) Softball Cricket Tournament held at the Salgadu and Prison Grounds, Anuradhapura.

The men’s tournament took place at the Salgadu Grounds and in the final, Western beat Southern to bag the Gold Medal. In the semifinals, Northern beat Eastern and Western beat Southern to qualify for the finals. The Bronze Medal was won by Eastern.

In the women’s final, Southern beat Western to pocket the Gold Medal. In the semifinals, Western beat Central and Southern beat Uva to qualify for the finals. Central won the Bronze Medal.

The women’s tournament was held at the Prison Grounds, Anuradhapura. The tournament was conducted by the Ministry of Sports and the Department of Sports Development.
