42ND SIGNIS TELECINE AWARDS 2019

‘Gharasarapa’ and ‘Kumbiyo’ emerged as the best flm and best tele drama at the 42nd SIGNIS Telecine Awards ceremony held at the BMICH on Friday, amidst a large gathering. veteran actress Sriyani Amarasena received the SIGNIS Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony sponsored by Munchee (Ceylon Biscuits Ltd.).

Jayantha Chandrasiri bagged the awards for the best director and best script for ‘Gharasarapa’ while the film’s producer Arjuna Kamalanath received the best film award. Thumindu Dodanthenna and his wife Kalani walked away with awards for best tele drama actor and tele drama actress (Kumbiyo). Alston Koch (Matthew) and Anoma Janadari (Devena Vihangun) clinched the awards for best film actor and best film actress respectively. Samanalee Fonseka received the award for the best supporting actress.
