BCCS awards application now open

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce conducted the preliminary briefing on the application process of the Best Corporate Citizen and Sustainability Awards (BCCS) 2019, July 25th.

Applications for the awards for both the Best Corporate Citizen and the best sustainability awards will be open until 11thoctober.

Categories that companies will be evaluated on Best Corporate Citizen and Sustainability Awards are Employee Relations, Community Relations, Economic Contribution and Governance, Customer Relations, and the Environment.

All information submitted with the application will be treated with utmost confidentiality, and will be restricted to the premises allowed for evaluation; which is under the Chamber’s purview.

Furthermore, if any potential applicant other than public listed companies requires signing a Non Disclosure Agreement to provide its financials for evaluations, the Chamber is willing to provide necessities accordingly.

The Chamber recommends keeping applications simple, attractive, and well organized: and to be precise with references where annexures and documents are concerned.

“You do a lot, but make sure it is presented in the right manner. Link the application to your overall strategies. That can be advantageous,” Kanishka Weerasinghe, an evaluator, advised the attendees at the briefing seminar.

Should participants need assistance with the applications, an additional session on how to do so will be conducted on 06th September 2019.
