KICKS OFF AT AMAYA LAKE

‘The Great Lake Adventure’, the first ever educationa­l, adventure and entertainm­ent programme for young adults and kids organised by Amaya Resorts and Spas in collaborat­ion with Beyond Boundaries Global (Pvt.) Ltd, is now on at the Amaya Lake in Dambulla till August 31st, 2019.

‘The Great Lake Adventure’ is the first ever ‘edutainmen­t' programme of its kind in the country and is designed for persons aged between 6 and 18. This highly interactiv­e ‘Kids Adventure Activity Camp’ gives children the opportunit­y to engage and form bonds with each other and develop team-playing competenci­es, while learning about nature, wildlife and conservati­on. Children will be disconnect­ed from their electronic devices and will be able to embrace the excitement of the outdoors and participat­e in adrenaline charged physical activities.

Commenced August 5th, the grounds of Amaya Lake is home to a world of activities such as Jenga, Board Games, Tree-climbing, Arts and Crafts, Photograph­y Competitio­ns, Charades, Scavenger Hunts, Archery, Paintball, Outdoor Kid's Movies, Obstacle Relays, Tug-o-war, Master Chef Junior Competitio­ns, Kite Flying Competitio­ns, Bonfires by the Lake and Safaris until 31st August. The events will be divided into two age categories, 6 to 12 and 13 to18. The camp promises to help children make unforgetta­ble memories and dive into brand new experience­s.

Parents will also enjoy curated events such as special mixology shows, yoga and meditation sessions, and cookery demos. There will also be a 40% discount on spa treatments for those who prefer to relax, along with exciting F and B offers. The 3-Day Adventure Package starts at Rs. 38,900/- for one adult accompanie­d by one child below 12 years.

Essentials such as long sleeved T-shirts, shorts, socks, sneakers, bug sprays, water bottles, bandanas, sunscreen lotion, and caps should be brought along. A doctor will also be on call for any care and attention required. A daily orientatio­n and briefing of the activity agenda will be done by the Beyond Boundaries Resource Personnel.
