KPMG named SL’S Most Respected Entity in the Financial Services Sector

-

KPMG has been adjudged the Most Respected Entity in the Financial Services Sector in Sri Lanka, once again by LMD.

This is the fifth consecutive time that KPMG has won this award in recognition of audit and advisory services which KPMG provides Sri Lanka’s financial services sector, while the firm has been included in the list of most respected entities for last four years.

The ranking of Sri Lanka’s most respected entities is based on a survey of senior management undertaken by leading multinational research firm Nielsen on behalf of LMD Media Services. The data has been gathered by conducting telephone interviews and distributing questionnaires. The survey was conducted in a manner where the respondent was not permitted to nominate the company he/she represents thereby eliminating membership bias.

KPMG in Sri Lanka is one of the largest professional service firms in the country with a history spanning over a century providing a range of services across the audit, tax and advisory spectrum; with a value system built on the pillars of integrity, honesty, professionalism, transparency, ethics, accountability, diligence and good governance. While functioning as a service consultant has its own operational constraints, KPMG in Sri Lanka promotes ethical conduct and quality at a very high level.

Risk management procedures and continuous training are some of the frameworks that have been established in order to bring value to day to day business and KPMG has been the first of the ‘big four’ to publicly announce its core values, which is actively promoted and inculcated throughout the firm.

Adapting to the changing shift in business, the firm also now focuses on client centric solutions services basis in contrast to having the traditional functional centric services, that is, aiming to provide holistic solutions with multidisciplinary teams as opposed to offering piecemeal services, with an ultimate goal of achieving long term sustainability through value addition.

KPMG in Sri Lanka believes in being the clear choice in the professional services sector by adding value and making a sustainable difference.

KPMG Sri Lanka Managing Partner and KPMG MESA Region Chairman Reyaz Mihular said: “We are happy and honoured to be representing the financial services sector as the most respected entity in Sri Lanka and would continue to develop our service offering to cater to the emerging needs of our clients meet the requirements of the evolving regulatory landscape.
