Ideal First Choice offers world-class services to multi-brand vehicle owners
Ideal First Choice, the latest venture by Ideal Group of Companies, has entered into regional automotive hubs in Sri Lanka to provide world-class after-sales services for multibrand vehicle owners.
The first workshop was launched in July 2018 in Yakkala. Currently, the regional hubs are located in Puttalam, Jaffna, Tissamaharama, Kelaniya and Dambulla.

Ideal First Choice is equipped with a state-of-the-art workshop that caters to all makes and models of vehicles and offers services of lubrications and detailing, mechanical and electrical diagnostics, body and painting, all under one roof. All services offered from Ideal First Choice are on par with respective OEM manufacturers with trained technicians and engineers on respective brands.
Key differentiators of Ideal First Choice are committed delivery on time, cost-effective services, close follow up of customer feedback and ensuring hassle-free driving for Sri Lankan motorists. Further, free telephonic consultations on troubleshooting of electronic systems of the latest automobile diagnostic systems are also offered as value additions.
Apart from this, Ideal First Choice also operates an islandwide free recovery service for accident repairs and roadside assistance at a feasible rate, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Currently, a free towing and carrier facility covering the district of Gampaha is also offered through it and plans are underway to provide this service to its regional hubs in the near future.
The regional automotive hubs will expand up to 15 locations in the country in the next six months for after-sales services and will create 500+ new employment opportunities in the skill categories. Ideal Group Chairman Nalin Welgama said, “The new venture will be offered to fulfil the gap in the marketplace of proper after-sales services for regional vehicle owners and this will further strengthen the group’s main franchise of Mahindra and Mahindra vehicle after-sales services.”
Chaminda Wanigaratne, Director in charge of the automotive business of the group, is heading the new venture and the first eight workshops have already been completed and are fully operational.
He added that world-renowned brand partnerships with BOSCH, Akzonobel are associated with Ideal First Choice as co-brands and Wurth, Valvoline, Lanka IOC are working as sub brands, which are associated with Ideal First Choice in order to provide worldclass services.
