Shelton Perera

The 33rd death anniversary of popular singer and musician T. Shelton Perera falls on September 18. Born on March 20, 1939, he studied music at the Bathkande Academy in India and was known as a talented tablist. Though he passed away more than 3 decades ago at the age of 47, his songs like Mihirethi Wasantha Kale, Egodaha Yanno and Awasan Liyumai Obata Liyanne will linger in our memories for generations to come.
