HEEN ANDARE TO GO ON BOARDS SOON

Helamuthu Cultural Foundation Chairman and seasoned producer Thilak Samarasinghe last week launched his newest stage play ‘Heen Andare’, which will be staged soon.thilak Samarasinghe who earlier produced three successful home videos and held a popular dancing show titled ‘Helamuthu Rathriya’ at the Tower Hall, will produce and direct ‘Heen Andare’ based on a script written by veteran dramatist Mahinda Pathirage. Mahinda Pathirage, Danushka Jayaratne, Eric Abyewardana, P. M. Nandakumar and others play the key roles in the play filled with humour. Commenting on the story, Mahinda Pathirage said creating a play based on Andare was no easy task, but he accepted producer – director Thilak Samarasinghe’s challenge to create it. “This story is based on Andare’s grandson who also carries forward his grandfather’s knack for humour. This play has ten songs that have been set to tune by Kumudini Gunawardana, my wife. Priyantha Gamage is the music director,” said Pathirage.
