During this revival phase in the tourism industry, Movenpick

Hotel stands committed in promoting tourism by adding an element of tourism into this event. As explained by Padmi

Fernando, “We’ve partnered with Sri Lankan airlines in bringing down Five international wedding planners, and they will get to familiarise the destination, get to understand the creativity available in our industry to have destination weddings.” The aim of getting down the international wedding planners is for them to familiarise with the locations and venues as a means of promoting Sri Lanka as a wedding destination. The public did not relate to Movenpick Hotel as a wedding venue, yet the success of this wedding show has enabled the hotel to move in to the wedding market gradually. Speaking to one of the partners at the wedding fair, here’s what Natalie of Esthèti Centre had to say “We are very excited to get on with the bridal campaign. We are looking forward to meeting more brides and giving them skincare routines” Further speaking with Christina Alphonsus of Sothys Sri Lanka states that “we are looking forward to discuss all of our packages and we are super excited to share it with everyone who’s coming”. Joining as the official magazine for the second consecutive year, we got in touch with Nelum Haththelle who also shared her views “Last year was a huge success and the turnout was awesome, so we are excited to be partnered again and we are looking for an even better response this time”. Joining in and fairly new to the industry is Abdullah Aslam of Kingsman Studio and he is “Looking for more exposure as we are a start-up, so I thought might as well go for it”. Raffle draws will take place on both days with partners who have generously provided attractive gifts. A unique wedding offer will also be unravelled on location for any future bookings made on the same day. Spread the word to friends and family, make it a date to witness this intimate affair.
