Xiaomi launches Android One-powered Mi A3

Xiaomi, global technology leader, recently announced Mi A3, the latest smartphone in their line-up of Android One-powered phones with the world’s highest resolution camera setup. It succeeds Mi A2, world’s number one Android One smartphone previously.

Mi A3 marks a shift in the design of the Mi A series. It brings a new design while retaining the functional aspects which made Mi A2 one of the best phones in the segment. Starting at Rs.37,999, it features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, a Super AMOLED display, a massive 4030mah battery, 48-Megapixel triple camera setup and an in-screen fingerprin­t scanner. Like every Mi A series smartphone, Mi A3 is also powered by Google’s Android One project and runs Android 9 Pie out of the box.

Every Mi A series device has offered a stellar camera experience, powered by Android One. Mi A3 features Sony’s 48-Megapixel IMX586 sensor, coupled with an eight-megapixel ultra-wide and a two-megapixel depth sensor. The 48-Megapixel large halfinch sensor allows maximum details to be captured while retaining the quality of the image. To further enhance the camera experience, Mi A3 brings Xiaomi’s popular Steady Handheld Night Photograph­y mode to the Mi A series for the first time ever.

Apart from the class leading 48-Megapixel camera, Mi A3 also sports a 32-Megapixel front camera, enabling the device to have the highest Megapixel co unt for a camera setup in the world. The 32-Megapixel camera has a Super Pixel size of 1.6μm allowing crisp and detailed selfies even in low light. Mi A3 embodies a new design language bringing functional­ity and poise to the A series. It features a glass sandwich design with an ergonomic form factor facilitati­ng one-handed usage. The 15.6cm (6.08) Super AMOLED display offers vivid colours, deeper blacks and increased power efficiency enabling an immersive viewing experience.

The 7th generation In-screen fingerprin­t scanner brings 15 percent increase in the fingerprin­t detection area and 30 percent more accuracy over the previous generation. Triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the front, rear and the camera module of Mi A3. The functional­ity is complement­ed by the nano-level holographi­c pattern which creates a dynamic design effect. Offered in three colours, Kind of Grey, Not just Blue and More than White, Mi A3 features P2i nano-coating to provide protection against accidental spills.

Taking forward the legacy of offering a perfect blend of performanc­e and power-efficiency, Mi A3 combines the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 mobile platform with Android One. The octacore chipset is coupled with upto 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage enabling incredibly smooth and fast user experience. Mi A3 brings a 4030mah battery with 18W fast charging with a 10W charger in the box.

Mi A3 brings the latest innovation­s by Google and combines it with Xiaomi’s trusted hardware.
