BCCS Awards application closing date next week

-

The application closing date for The Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards (BCCS) is on October 11, 2019.

The BCCS Awards, the flagship event of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, recognises companies for their sustainability initiatives.

The event that is to be conducted for the 16th consecutive year has yet again set a grand array of awards in order to acknowledge brilliant performers in corporate sustainability, in various fields such as industrial relations, economic contribution, community relations, environmental aspects and more. It is hence an opportunity for local corporates to compete among themselves, as well as to recognise the efforts taken in order to build a robust and sustainable economy.

Moreover, a new award is open this year to identify initiatives taken by corporate firms to empower women by supporting their innovations, creating avenues for participation in the labour force and through other means.

The awards calculates the engagement of public, private, listed, or unlisted corporates, along with its stakeholders, which includes the environment, their employees, customers, suppliers, community, and the government. There are two main categories for which the applications for the Awards fall under, based on the company’s turnover.

All potential candidates are expected to present their applications by October 11, 2019, in a well-organised manner, while maintaining clarity and brevity. If any interested applicant other than public listed companies wishes to sign a non-disclosure agreement to provide its financials for evaluation, the Ceylon Chamber can make necessary arrangements.

Furthermore, the Ceylon Chamber guarantees that all information submitted along with the applications will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
