NDB was crowned Bank of the Year for “Excellence in Customer Convenience” in Category C at the Lankapay Technnovation Awards 2019. The bank was also felicitated with ‘Best Common ATM Acquirer of the Year’ Category B Merit Award at this ceremony.
NDB is now operating with over 150 ATMS/CRMS placed at strategic locationsto deliver superior banking services to its customers.
The bank’s ATM/CRM network leverages on the services and technology provided by Lankaclear, to enable the bank’s customers and general public to withdraw funds conveniently. The bank has also provided convenience in banking by offering Lankapay products through its digital channels.
Delivering customer convenience is a key driver at NDB. The bank is currently in the process of carrying out branch transformations to simplify processes while saving time and cost for customers. Accordingly, the bank has fully embraced the digital future with 70 percent of its transactions now occurring via digital channels.
Meanwhile, the bank has empowered its customers by offering a host of digital tools such as mobile and online banking in addition to the Bank’s first Phygital Branch, NDB NEOS which positioned NDB as the first Bank in Sri Lanka to introduce a fully paperless banking branch.
