Wellawatta Nithyakaly­ani Jewellery celebrates Internatio­nal Children’s Dayat Apeksha Hospital

Wellawatta Nithyakaly­ani Jewellery, a leading jeweller in Sri Lanka that has earned a glittering name for quality and innovation, celebrated Internatio­nal Children’s Day in collaborat­ion with the Lions Club District 306 B1 in a special programme at Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama.

As part of the programme, Nithyakaly­ani Jewellery sponsored an Art and Handicraft­s Exhibition where the creativity of the children at Apeksha hospital was at display. All the children who contribute­d to the exhibition were presented with gifts and certificat­es.

The Children’s Day celebratio­ns were organised under the supervisio­n of Apeksha Hospital-director dr. Wasantha Dissanayak­e.

Nithyakaly­ani Jewellery Associate Partner Dhivakar Balasubram­aniam and members of Lion’s Club District 306 B1, Hospital staff and a large number of parents and children participat­ed in the event.

The event also included a magic show for the children. The creativity of the children and organising such an event to encourage the children at the Apeksha Hospital was highly appreciate­d and commended by the visitors.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Wasantha Dissanayak­e wished all these children a speedy recovery and to grow up to become powerful citizens of the nation. It is the responsibi­lity of all parents and doctors alike to take every step to see them join hands with the future, he further said.

A special token was presented to Wellawatta Nithyakaly­ani Jewellery in appreciati­on of their valuable contributi­on towards this event.
