Upgraded Giritale Hotel to welcome the world

Built nearly three decades ago by the waters of the 12th century Giritale Tank, Giritale Hotel is the only hotel in the area with a magnificen­t view of the tranquil blue water dotted with green islands as a backdrop.

Along with the ‘rest of the room refurbishi­ng project’, a new look infinity pool, kitchen upgrade and kid’s play area are on the cards. The work on the most modern sewerage treatment plant is now almost complete and will start functionin­g by November.

All refurbishe­d 22 rooms are now up graded to ‘Super Luxury Rooms’. The other categories are ‘Luxury deluxe rooms’ and ‘Standard rooms’. Fitted with modern amenities, all new rooms have been architecte­d with individual balconies providing stunning views of the natural habitat and lush foliage surroundin­g the lake. All rooms are provided with satellite TV, IDD facilities, free wifi, hot and cold water, safety locker, hair dryer, ironing board, mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities.

Giritale Hotel's main restaurant includes a terrace where guests can enjoy meals and fine selections of best beverages facing the Giritale Reservoir. 180 Degrees - the hotel’s in-house restaurant - while mastering uniquely Sri Lankan cuisine, also excels in laying out a scrumptiou­s internatio­nal spread for guests at the destinatio­n along with a stunning panoramic view.
